She confessed to killing seven men total, though one victim, Peter Siems, was never found. The cases against her involved murders committed during her work as a prostitute across Florida.
Wuornos's legal journey began with her conviction for Mallory's murder in January 1992. She subsequently entered no contest pleas to the murders of Dick Humphreys, Troy Burress, and David Spears on March 31, 1992. In June 1992, she pleaded guilty to Charles Carskaddon's murder, earning her fifth death sentence. Her sixth and final death sentence came in February 1993 following a guilty plea to the murder of Walter Gino Antonio.
